BauXchange

Dialogue as a key for change

We are convinced that real change can only arise from open dialogue. The exchange with representatives of construction, design, research and clients is necessary to be able to understand the different interests and challenges of the building industry. Only in this way can we identify a feasible potential and successfully initiate changes. It is decisive to create a holistic vision for the construction of tomorrow and to take steps to be able to cope with the challenges together in the long term.

Shaping the future together: BauXchange as driving force for the change in the building industry

The focus of the event is on four key issues of the building industry: human-being, digitization, sustainability and change. Based on keynote addresses of experienced experts, these contents and current problems will be discussed, perspectives for the future shown and specific activities elaborated in small groups in the World Café together with the experts subsequently.

Issues that concern us: human-being, digitization, sustainability and change

Human-being: Social competences of the persons involved are important for building projects. We discuss consequences for practice as well education and further training.

Digitization: The building industry is affected by constant adjustments. We would like to find out how digitization can support the persons active in construction in the best possible way.

Sustainability: Climate protection is indispensable for the building industry. We highlight how sustainable building can strengthen efficiency and competitiveness.

Change: The dialogue on different interests is essential to identify a real potential for change. We are investigating how the various topics and factors are interlocked and which steps must be taken for successful change.

We are shaping the future of the building industry together with you.

Be inspired by the keynote addresses of Prof. Frank Lulei (Vienna University of Technology), DI Stefan Graf (Leyrer+Graf), and Prof. Ina Goller (BFH Bern), discuss on the four focuses with representatives from all sectors of the building industry in the World Café and elaborate specific activities. At the end the individual group results will be presented in a concentrated way. BauXchange will be scientifically supported by the Vienna University of Technology and the edited results will be presented on the Baukongress in April 2024.
