„ Innovative, effective and architecturally independent solutions, which are furthermore economic, are required for complex and urbanistically prominent projects like the MedUni Mariannengasse Campus. BIG therefore relies on architectural competitions in order to get a wide spectrum of high-quality works. The latter not only contribute to the further development of the Austrian building culture but – considering the social devekopments – also help to show new ways in architecture. Especially in educational buildings this is particularly important to us in the scope of the initiative "educational area of the future”. “
