Slab Track and MSS Koralm Railway Section Mittlern-Althofen

Fri, 01.07.2022

Work on the Mittlern-Althofen section of the Koralm railway has been in full swing since 2010. The track construction of construction phase 1 was completed at the end of June 2022. The superstructure in the type of a slab track partially based on mass-spring systems has been installed.

Before the gaps are closed in 2023 by the two crossings with the local existing railway, the railway engineering equipment of the line is now being carried to its completion. The section includes the longest railway bridge in Carinthia, the 600m long “Drauquerung”. FCP has already successfully carried out the detailed project of the bridge planning and now the bridge is completed with the noise barrier and the track.
