Prize Winners FCP Innovation Prize 2020

The prize winners of the FCP Innovation Prize 2020 have been determined.

The winners are Dr.techn. Nadia Gremer, BSc and Christoffer Vida.

The FCP Innovation Prize was awarded on 25 June 2021 by the Vienna University of Technology and FCP in the course of an academic ceremony of the Faculty for Civil Engineering at the Vienna University of Technology.

Nadia Gremer received the prize for her dissertation “A contribution to the assessment of the vertical seismic acceleration demand of regular steel frame structures” and Christoffer Vida for his diploma thesis “Computational modeling approach for determining the bending strength of glued laminated timber beams taking into account knot groups and quasi-brittle material failure”.

The FCP Innovation Prize is awarded to outstanding engineering achievements as well as to innovative technical contributions of students at Austrian universities.
In total the two prize winners get a sum of € 10,000.–

The next FCP Innovation Prize will be awarded for the year 2021.
