A safety book according to Vienna’s building code § 128a was prepared for the new construction of the stadium. Components whose deterioration can result in danger to life or health of persons must be subjected to designated inspections in due time.
The new construction of the stadium (180 m x 150 m) was realized with a single tier and a circular stand in reinforced concrete construction.
The respective stadium building comprises administrative areas, a fan shop, catering facilities, VIP boxes and two event boxes. The new stadium has a capacity for 28,293 people including seats, standing room and wheelchair bays for the audience as well as spaces for the press and two box storeys. In addition the stadium has 442 spaces for the police, resulting in a total of 28,735 spaces.
