In noise mapping for 2022, CNOSSOS-EU is used to calculate the whole area in Vienna (and also in Austria) for the first time. The publication of national implementation in the form of the ÖAL 3 sheet 1, the RVE 04.01.02 and the RVS 04.02.11 will only take place within the project period. The lead time is used to carry out a detailed re-evaluation of the secondary road network in Vienna. For this purpose, traffic counts are carried out on low-traffic streets and the latter are allocated to the city area for noise mapping.

What is also new is the consideration of track joints in the form of switches for underground railways, trams and standard-gauge railways. In addition to rail noise, a calculation for road noise and noise from IPPC systems is also carried out in Vienna.
