Prof. Helga Kromp-Kolb

Expert in sustainable planning 

Prof. Helga Kromp-Kolb is an emeritus professor of meteorology and climatology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna, where she also founded and led the Centre for Global Change and Sustainability. As an academic and researcher, she works on questions of atmospheric pollutant dispersal, climate change, sustainable development, societal transformation, education for sustainable development, and the necessary paradigm shift in science and society. She played a key role in founding the Climate Change Centre Austria (CCCA) and the Alliance of Sustainable Universities in Austria, and serves on the steering committee of the inter-university project UniNEtZ.

Clinical & Health Psychologist

Dr. Maria Resch is a clinical and health psychologist, systemic consultant, author, and expert in science communication. She has four years of research experience at Vienna General Hospital (AKH Wien) and 27 years of leadership experience in national and international human resources management. Her areas of expertise include leadership, organisational and personnel development, and strategic HR management. She currently serves as Head of Human Resources at an internationally operating engineering company (FCP.VCE) and additionally works in her own private psychological practice.

Prof. Patrick Huber

Professor of Reinforced Concrete and Structural Engineering, TU Wien

Prof. Patrick Huber previously worked as a department and project manager at FCP in the Competence Centre for Bridge Construction and Structural Analysis, and led a research division at the Institute for Structural Engineering. He is Professor of Reinforced Concrete and Structural Engineering at TU Wien and heads the Study Commission for Civil Engineering. He is active in numerous standardisation committees and expert panels, and serves as a reviewer for various technical journals.

Project Manager and Researcher at GRÜNSTATTGRAU

Elisabeth Leitner works as a project manager and researcher at GRÜNSTATTGRAU on national and international research projects focused on the measurable and calculable impact of building greening. She recognised the significance of building greening from an interdisciplinary perspective through her completed part-time studies in "Green Building" (with a focus on sustainable building construction and building physics) and "Smart Buildings in Smart Cities" (with a focus on urban and district development) at FH Salzburg.

TU Wien

Barbara Laa is a transport scientist at TU Wien. In her research and teaching, she focuses on sustainable mobility, active transportation, and the design of livable, climate-friendly cities. Her work combines scientific insights with practice-oriented approaches for future-proof transport and urban development.

Tobias Müllner, MSc

PORR Bau GmbH

Tobias Müllner is a subject-matter expert and project manager for geothermal energy at PORR Bau GmbH. After completing his master's degree in "Renewable Energy" at FH Technikum Wien, he specialized in the planning and implementation of near-surface geothermal systems. His focus is on developing practical and economical energy solutions for climate-resilient buildings and neighborhoods. Working at the interface of planning, execution, and operation, he supports geothermal projects from the concept phase through to implementation.

Beatrice Jungmann

DI Beatrice Jungmann

Expert in Microclimate and Environmental Management . FCP

Beatrice Jungmann is responsible at FCP for microclimate simulations, environmental management under ISO 14001, and tasks within the integrated management system and internal auditing. She studied Environmental and Bioresource Management at BOKU Vienna, specialising in climate, with a thesis on heat extremes. Her expertise combines scientific knowledge of climate, microclimate, and extreme events with data- and simulation-based solutions for climate-adapted infrastructure, urban development, and corporate projects.

Birgit Strenn

Dr. Birgit Strenn

Head of Water Management . VCE

Birgit Strenn is an expert in water management, municipal hydraulic engineering, and climate-resilient infrastructure with more than 20 years of experience in research, teaching, and engineering practice. She heads the Competence Centre for Water Management at VCE Vienna Consulting Engineers, with a focus on drainage planning, wastewater engineering, blue-green infrastructure, and sustainable climate-adapted infrastructure development. She is also a publicly sworn and court-certified expert for wastewater engineering systems and serves as a non-official expert in environmental impact assessment (EIA) proceedings.

Albana Deralla

DI Dr. Albana Deralla

Building Physics . FCP

Dr. Albana Deralla is part of FCP’s Building Physics team and specializes in sustainable construction. Following her studies in Architectural Engineering at the University of Prishtina (Kosovo), she earned a PhD in Architectural Sciences from TU Wien, specializing in building physics and building ecology. Her areas of expertise include circular economy principles, sustainable building design, dynamic building simulation, and green building certifications such as klimaaktiv, ÖGNI/DGNB, BREEAM, and BNB. In addition, she focuses on climate risk and vulnerability assessments as well as EU Taxonomy compliance for construction projects.

Marion Haider

Project Management . FCP 

Marion Haider is project manager at FCP in the field of building construction. She studied Architecture at TU Wien and KTH Stockholm. Through her experience across various planning and project phases, she has developed a comprehensive understanding of complex building projects and their interdependencies. She applies this expertise to the coordination of demanding construction projects. She sees future-proof projects as a balanced combination of functional, economic, and design requirements that create high-quality and livable spaces.
