KliNa Project of the Month 09/2025

In the scope of our KliNa Focus Month September we concentrate on sustainability and environmental protection – also regarding the reduction of light emissions! Our current project of the month is the luminance measurement in the concrete factory of Parndorf.

Luminance measurements are an important contribution to reduce light emissions and to protect the environment. Usually, they are performed to ensure traffic safety: billboards or facade lighting must not be mixed up with traffic lights, must not dazzle or outshine any signals.

The measurement is carried out on the roadside with a special device working like binoculars. In this process the so-called “nits” (candela per square metre) are recorded, i.e. the brightness of the surface. On the basis of the measured values the index, which not only considers light intensity but also the size of the luminous area and ambient lighting, is calculated according to RVS 5.512

Our team makes an active contribution to the protection of residents and road users with the luminance measurement in the concrete factory of Parndorf.
