Budget according to ÖNORM B1801-1

Already in the course of project development the client can be supported on the basis of a space allocation and function plan by means of a budget which represents a rough estimation of the expected project costs.

Based on the space allocation and function plan as well as experience and literature from completed projects, cost benchmarks can be developed, which enable the go-ahead for a design project.

Cost Estimation for Preliminary Design according to ÖNORM B1801-1

By means of thoroughly prepared cost estimation on the basis of the preliminary design documents or BIM design the client and the design team have the possibility for cost controlling already at an early stage of a project.

Cost Calculation for Design according to ÖNORM B1801-1

The cost calculation for design, which enables further improvement of cost overview on the basis of an increasing level of detail of the design in the scope of design processing, provides the basis for further project decisions and control potentials of the client.

Invitation to Tender

Together with the client the tender model suitable for the project is defined and a specification of services of the subsections to be performed is prepared in cooperation with all expert planners involved in the project.

Examples for various tender models:

  • Structural specification of services on the basis of LB-H (standardized work description for structural engineering)
  • Specification of services element by element for BIM optimized awarding/accounting
  • Functional specification of services for generalized general contractor awards

Offers are comparable by using uniform bases and specifications for all bidders.

Cost Estimates for Invitation to Tender

A cost estimate is prepared on the basis of an itemized specification of services in order to evaluate the expected quoted prices. The latter serves as important tool for the contract negotiations and the subsequent decision of the client.
